Help Stop Pollution: Adopt Native Plant Species & Share the Day With Other Concerned Upper Peninsula Residents…

Well, I just did something I’m rather proud of, and I hope I’m good enough to pull it off, but I volunteered myself to be a Team Leader for the Global Day of Service project my current college is a huge part of.  I have a pretty good plan, which I will be posting as an event to be participated around October of this year.  My plan will help reduce pollution in the Upper Peninsula, particularly focusing on the Michigamme, MI area.  To thank my volunteers, I will be offering a free meal, plant, shrub or tree and a brass nameplate honoring those who participated.  I hope to make this a yearly event.

I would like to either conduct an ‘Adopt A Native Plant’ as proceeds for the event, or contact various lumber mills who may donate to show their devotion towards the upkeep to help prevent pollution and further death of native species no longer having the much needed shade taken from them.

I will keep everyone updated in reference to my plans, but I’m so excited to get started!
